Job Duties:

  • Provide bedside care

  • Administer medications and document therapeutic effects

  • Take vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration)

  • Assist with resident comfort

  • Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas

  • Collect samples and monitor catheters

  • Provide wound care

  • Help coach staff as necessary

  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

  • Protects the home care agency by adhering to professional standards, home care policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.

  • Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

  • Must have experience in geriatric care, work well with seniors with a compassionate, patient and understanding manner, and demonstrate a desire to serve individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other related dementias

  • Must maintain a positive and professional attitude and project a calm demeanor

  • Must be a flexible team player with the ability to work effectively with others in a team environment promoting a culture of teamwork across departments, cooperation, enthusiasm, customer service, and an atmosphere conducive to growth for all associates

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English

  • Bilingual welcome but not required

  • Must be able to handle the physical requirements of the job including standing, sitting, bending, and moving and transferring residents (one-person or two-person assist), as well as physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required

Skills and Qualifications Needed:

Associates degree in Nursing, Current LPN license in MA, Up to date first aid and CPR certification, Creating a Safe, Effective Environment, Health Promotion and Maintenance, Nursing Skills, Health Care Administration, Patient Services, Verbal Communication, Listening, Training, Dependability, Emotional Control, Medical Teamwork.

The must haves:

  • Driver's license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance

  • Proficiency in English

  • A reliable cell phone and email

  • Fully vaccinated against COVID and boosted if eligible

  • Work one weekend day every other week
